Can I have enlargement surgery if my size is normal?
We first need to understand what concerns you and what you expect. If your size is within the normal range, the doctor explains the possible changes and limitations of surgery, and you decide together whether it is suitable.
Does curvature always need surgery?
Not necessarily. Mild curvature that does not affect intercourse can be observed; acquired Peyronie's disease is usually not operated on in the acute phase, and is evaluated once the condition is stable.
Will correcting curvature make it shorter?
Some techniques (such as partial tunica plication) may slightly reduce length, while grafting has different criteria and risks. These are explained in detail before surgery.
Is there still sensation after a penile prosthesis?
The implant does not affect the nerve pathways for skin sensation and ejaculation, though individual experiences differ. After implantation, natural erections as before are no longer possible, so it is important to understand this fully before deciding.
How long is recovery?
It depends on the procedure. Generally, sexual activity and strenuous exercise are avoided for several weeks, with the actual time adjusted according to the doctor's advice and follow-up visits.
